Title I is a federally funded program designed to provide tutorial/supplemental aid in the areas of reading, language arts, and/or math. The purpose of the program is to improve the educational opportunities of qualifying students by helping them succeed in the regular classroom. Title I instruction varies from student to student and from class to class. Some students will come to the Title I room for assistance and others will be aided in their classroom.
Title I placement is based on three main factors: Fastbridge Reading/Math, Fountas and Pinnell reading levels, and teacher referral. Criteria for newer students to the school may be different.
