I am honored to be the HS/MS Principal for the Turtle Lake School District. Turtle Lake has a long-standing tradition of strong academics and athletic programs. I pledge my full commitment to honoring those traditions and the high standard of excellence as we move forward together as a district.
I am privileged to be entering my 19th year in education. During this time, I am honored to have served as a principal, dean of students, teacher, stem coordinator, at-risk coordinator, athletic director, and a coach. I bring a wealth of experience to the position, but mostly I bring a passion to make a positive impact on the people around me each day. My motto as an educator is, “it’s all about the kids.” I am a student-centered principal who values the input of our students in their education.
I grew in up Siren, Wisconsin and have lived there most of my life. My position as the HS/MS Principal in Siren for 4 years allowed me to grow professionally. I am recently returning from a two-year adventure working in Australian schools as an educator. We moved to Australia to allow our children the opportunity to attend school and to learn about Australian culture. We have two children: Spencer is 16, and Olivia is 14. My wife, Elissa, is Australian and is an elementary teacher at a local school district. My international experience has given me a unique perspective and galvanized my philosophy that all children can learn at a high level. It has also deepened my perspective on the resources and techniques available to reach all students.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone and to begin building connections with our students, parents, community, and all stakeholders. I believe in building strong school communities by supporting students in the classroom, through work experience, and extra-curricular activities. If you see me out and about, please introduce yourself as I would love to meet you and make connections.
GO LAKERS!
